Program Notes
Each year, the Alice & Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete LEAD Scholarship honors outstanding student-athletes who embody the values of integrity, perseverance, leadership, and service that Alice and Charles Taylor instilled in their family and community.
The program will continue to recognize at least two (2) Mountain Home High School senior scholar-athletes annually—one female and one male—who exemplify excellence in the classroom and in athletics. Recipients share scholarships totaling $1,000+ each year. Nominations may be submitted by teachers, coaches, administrators, or the scholar-athletes themselves.
Beginning in 2026, the scholarship program expands statewide over a three-year period to reach more deserving student-athletes across Idaho:
Region 1 (2026): District III (Southwestern Idaho) and District IV (South Central Idaho)
Region 2 (2027): District V (Southeastern Idaho) and District VI (Eastern Idaho)
Region 3 (2028): District I (Northern Idaho) and District II (North Central Idaho)
By 2028, the scholarship will serve student-athletes across all six Idaho districts.
Once the selection process is completed and validated, scholarship funds are issued to the appropriate school contact for disbursement in accordance with school policy.
