Thirty-four Idaho scholar-athletes across ten classes — from two students at one Mountain Home high school to fourteen across twelve schools in a single year. Two years in this record have no names on them, and both are here too.

The founding gift
Announced from the podium at the first Mountain Home High School Athletic Hall of Fame dinner, with Charles and Alice Taylor in the room. The first gift went to the school’s girls’ and boys’ athletic programs. Student scholarships began the following year.

If you know one
Most of the scholars named before 2026 attended Mountain Home High School. If you coached them, taught them, or grew up with them, you probably know how to reach them — and we would be grateful for the introduction.
Eleven years of recipients are now in universities, trades, and careers across the country. Following that group is the most valuable research this Foundation can do, and it starts with knowing where they are.
The next class
Somebody put most of these names forward.
The 2027 portal opens in January, and Districts V and VI join — completing Southern Idaho. Coaches, teachers, counselors and administrators can nominate, and students can apply directly.
The Taylor LEAD Foundation is looking for the next class of LEAD Scholars. If you know a student who exemplifies academic and athletic excellence, community leadership, and the values of Charles and Alice Taylor — nominate them.
