Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions from families, students, counselors, coaches, and school leaders.

Do criteria or requirements change by region as you expand?
No. The LEAD criteria and application requirements remain the same statewide. Eligibility is based on our phased rollout by Idaho districts. Current-year details and the full criteria live at taylorleadscholarship.com.
Which districts are eligible this year?
Eligibility follows our published rollout (Mountain Home is always eligible). Use the **Check Eligibility** button at the top of this page or the quick pop-up to confirm your district for the current cycle. We update the page each fall with the new year’s eligibility.
Is the award renewable? How much support is provided?
Awards are currently **one-time** scholarships. Our long-term vision—dependent on fundraising and an endowment—is to offer **multi-year support** that helps recipients persist to undergraduate degree completion. Annual award amounts and the number of recipients are published each cycle.
How do students apply and what materials are required?
Applications are submitted online during the window noted above. Students complete the application, record a short virtual video interview, and arrange **two recommendations** (at least **one coach** and **one teacher**). Full instructions and links are posted in the **Parents/Students** tab and on the main scholarship page.
What support is available for families and schools?
We host **Information Sessions (Zoom)** each January–February, provide counselor & coach toolkits, and offer accessibility/language accommodations on request. If your region is not yet active, join the **Interest List** and we’ll notify you when your district comes online.
