Our Work

The Taylor LEAD Foundation, formerly known as the Alice & Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete LEAD Scholarship, is dedicated to empowering youth and women in Idaho through scholarships, mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. Our programs are designed to provide equitable access to education, athletics, and leadership opportunities, particularly for individuals from historically underserved communities.

Founded on the values and legacy of Charles and Alice Taylor, the Foundation began as a scholarship program for Mountain Home High School scholar-athletes and has grown into a statewide initiative. Today, we operate under three pillars that guide our work and impact: Scholarships/Grants, Fundraising Events, and iWIN (Idaho Women in Sports).

• Scholarships/Grants: We provide financial support to students and scholar-athletes, removing barriers to post-secondary education and athletic development. These scholarships empower recipients to pursue their academic and athletic goals while fostering leadership, perseverance, and personal growth.

• Fundraising Events: Through signature events, such as The Change Make*Hers Gala powered by iWIN Sports, we engage the community to raise critical funds for programs while celebrating achievements of youth and women. These events highlight the importance of leadership, equity, and opportunity, inspiring donors and participants alike to support the next generation of leaders.

• iWIN (Idaho Women in Sports): This pillar amplifies the voices of women in athletics and leadership, providing mentorship, training, and visibility to foster female leadership. By creating pathways for young women to excel in sports and develop leadership skills, iWIN complements our scholarship and educational initiatives, ensuring that female athletes and emerging leaders have the support and resources they need to succeed.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to equity, empowerment, and excellence. We believe that every young person and woman should have the opportunity to excel academically, athletically, and professionally.
