Game On! Sports Camps 4 Girls

Where belonging becomes confidence becomes return.

A multi-sport camp where girls of every skill level play several sports a day — and where the point is not to find the talented ones. It is to make sure she comes back next season.

Why the Foundation invests here

Girls do not leave sport because they lack talent.

They leave because the culture does not feel welcoming, the cost is too high, or the support is not there. Those are three separate problems and a camp that only solves one of them does not keep anybody. Game On! is built to address all three at once.

The culture problem

Every girl there is a beginner at something

Because the day rotates through several sports, nobody is the worst at all of them and nobody is the best. That structure does more for belonging than any speech about it.

The cost problem

Scholarships, before you ask for them

Camp scholarships through the iWIN IX Grants cover tuition in full or in part, plus gear and access supports. No girl is turned away for cost alone.

The support problem

Coaches trained for this age, not for winning

Positive coaching, supportive routines, and staff whose job is a girl feeling proud of her own progress rather than a scoreboard.

What a week is like

Sport all day, and the parts she will actually tell you about.

Camp has been running since 2007, and the traditions are as much of the draw as the drills. If your daughter comes home talking about tie-dye before she mentions basketball, that is the program working as intended.

  • Several sports every day — not one sport for a week. Variety is the mechanism, not a bonus.
  • All skill levels together — brand new to sport or already competing.
  • Positive coaching and predictable routines, so the day feels safe before it feels fun.
  • Skills that leave the field — communication, resilience, speaking up, recovering from a bad play.
  • Water play days when Boise does what Boise does in July.
  • Tie-dye, which has outlasted every curriculum revision.
  • Themed spirit days and team contests.
  • Moments built to be proud of — the small, deliberate kind a nine-year-old repeats at dinner.

Who it is for

Pre-K through 8th grade, every skill level.

Pre‑K–8th

A wide age range on purpose

Camp welcomes girls from Pre-K through 8th grade. That span is deliberate: the youngest are getting a first, positive experience of sport, and the oldest are moving through the exact years when girls quit at twice the rate boys do. Catching both ends of that is the point.

If she is new to sport

Good. A large share of campers are. Rotating sports daily means nobody spends a week being visibly behind at one thing, and the coaching is built around a first attempt rather than a hundredth.

If she already competes

Also good. Playing outside a specialty is how athletes stay athletes — it protects against burnout, builds transferable movement, and puts her in a room where she gets to lead.

Age groups, session lengths and school-year programming are set by Game On! Sports Camps 4 Girls–Boise and are listed with current dates on gameonsports4girlsboise.com.

Cost

If the price is the problem, apply. That is what the money is for.

Full or partial

iWIN IX Camp Scholarships

Camp tuition in full or in part, required gear, and transportation support where it is needed. Applications are open year-round with no deadline to wait for, and wherever possible we pay the camp directly — so families never front money and wait for a reimbursement.

Before you start the application

It takes about fifteen minutes if you have three things ready:

  • The camp name, dates, location and registration link
  • Cost documentation — a tuition screenshot, invoice or link
  • A short note on why it matters to her

Tell us if a camp deadline is coming up. If writing an application is a barrier in itself, email us and we can take your answers as audio, send materials in Spanish, or give you more time.

Where

Multi-day, multi-sport, and the anchor of the program. Current dates, session options and the camp handbook — what to bring, lunches, policies — are on the Game On! Boise site.

Year-round

Clinics, in more places than camp can reach

Camp happens in summer, in one place. Clinics happen all year, in whichever community will host one — a few hours rather than a full week, and a much easier first yes for a family that is not sure yet.

  • Throw Like A Girl
  • Mother–Daughter
  • Father–Daughter
  • and more

The family clinics are deliberate. When women are asked what kept them from playing as much as they wanted, the second most common answer after money is that the adults around them were not engaged. A clinic a parent attends with her is a direct answer to that.

The Foundation is the licensee for Idaho and Eastern Oregon

Game On! has run girls’ multi-sport camps since 2007. The Taylor LEAD Foundation holds the license to bring that program across Idaho and into Eastern Oregon, in partnership with the founders in Illinois. Summer camp currently runs in Boise; the territory is the roadmap, and we are building toward it community by community.

If you run a team, school, club or district where cost is turning girls away, iWIN IX Equity Grants fund gear libraries, facility time, coach stipends and transportation — and hosting a clinic is often the easiest place to start.

The reason this is a priority

A camp is a small thing. Two more seasons is not.

Women who went on to hold formal leadership roles had played sport for an average of eight years. Those who did not averaged six. The gap between those two numbers is roughly one good camp experience and the season it leads into — which is why belonging, not talent identification, is what we fund.

Register

Registration, current dates, age groups and the camp handbook are handled by Game On! Sports Camps 4 Girls–Boise. Scholarships come from us — and you can apply for one before or after you register.

Game On! Sports Camps 4 Girls–Boise is powered by iWIN Sports, a platform of The Taylor LEAD Foundation, which holds the Game On! license for Idaho and Eastern Oregon. Game On! Sports 4 Girls was founded in Illinois in 2007 and its name and program remain the property of its founders.
