The iWIN Pledge
Seven promises and one declaration. It opens our gala, it closes our camps, and it is the shortest possible answer to what this Foundation is asking of anyone who shows up.
Katie Sipes and Ivy Rose Lee opened the 2026 Change Make*Hers Gala by reciting the pledge to a room of three hundred people.
I commit to showing up — every day — with focus, discipline, and heart.
I will give my best effort, knowing that when I grow, we grow.
I will lift others up, respect different perspectives, and honor my commitments.
I will prepare my mind and skills, so I can meet challenges with courage and resilience.
I will give myself — and others — grace when I fall, fail, or make mistakes, knowing that setbacks are stepping-stones to success.
I will ask for help when I need it, and offer help when I can.
I will use every resource, every lesson, and every challenge to get better.
Because when I win — in sport, in school, in work, in life — we all win.
I am part of something bigger than myself.

Why it turns
Eight promises, and then a change of tense.
Every line up to that rule begins with I will. Every line after it begins with I am. That is not an accident of drafting — it is the whole point of the thing.
A promise is something you might keep. An identity is something you carry into the next room. The pledge asks a girl to commit to seven specific behaviors, and then tells her that doing them is not a performance she is putting on. It is who she already is.
That is also why it ends with we. Nothing in this pledge works alone.
Three ways to say it

The full version is for reading. The other two are for saying together — and a pledge that is never said out loud is just a paragraph.

Say it on camera
Film your team saying it. We will put you in the film.
We are building a video of the pledge in the voices it was written for, and we would rather it be full of actual Idaho teams than of us. Twenty seconds on a phone is enough.
1. Film it
The rally version, all together, in one take. Hold the phone sideways. Somewhere with less noise than a gym if you can manage it, but a gym is fine.
2. Send it
Upload it through the form. If anyone under 18 is on camera, we need a parent or guardian to confirm they are happy for it to be used — that question is in the form.
3. Post it
Tag #iWINPledge and @taylorlead_fdn. We share what we can, and it is how another coach two towns over finds out this exists.

Where it gets used
Take it and use it. It is not ours to keep.
Any coach, teacher or parent in Idaho is welcome to run this with their group. No permission needed, no attribution required, no strings.
Before practice
The rally version takes about twenty seconds. Run it at the start of the season and by week three somebody else will start it without being asked.
In a classroom
The full pledge holds up as a piece of writing. The tense change from I will to I am is worth twenty minutes with a group of fourteen-year-olds on its own.
To open a room
Call-and-response works at an assembly, a banquet, or a gala. Somebody leads, everybody answers, and the room stops being an audience.
Take it
Saying it is the whole ask.
There is no fee, no membership and no obligation. Put your name to it and we will send you the pledge in a form you can print, post, or read to a room.

If you only remember one part of it, remember that one. Everything this Foundation funds is an argument for that sentence being literally true.
