The Taylor LEAD Foundation names Angela Taylor as its first Chief Executive Officer
Foundation founder to lead the Boise-based nonprofit into its next chapter of growth
BOISE, IDAHO – August 18, 2026 – The Taylor LEAD Foundation, a Boise-based nonprofit advancing girls and women through education, athletics, and leadership, announced today that its board of directors has named Co-Founder Angela Taylor as the organization’s first Chief Executive Officer.
Taylor co-founded the Foundation with her brother, Gary Taylor, in honor of their parents, Charles and Alice Taylor, and has led it as President since its incorporation. The move to a CEO structure reflects the organization’s growth from a founder-led effort into an institution built to scale — expanding the Alice & Charles Taylor Scholar-Athlete LEAD Scholarship statewide and building out its iWIN Sports platform, which helps girls and women across Idaho get in the game, stay in it, and lead beyond it.
As a Stanford scholar-athlete, two-time NCAA champion, and former President and General Manager in the WNBA, Taylor brings executive leadership experience to a mission rooted in her own Idaho upbringing.
“This Foundation began with a belief my parents lived every day — that what you build in the classroom and what you build on the field are the same work. Stepping into this role isn’t about a title. It’s about making sure the pathway we’re creating — from a girl’s first sport to her first leadership role — is built to last, and reaches every corner of Idaho. I’m honored to keep doing this work alongside our board, our committees, and the young people we serve.”
Angela Taylor, Co-Founder and CEO, The Taylor LEAD Foundation
“The board’s decision reflects both what Angela has already built and where this organization is headed. Naming our first CEO is a deliberate step toward long-term sustainability and impact, and there is no one better positioned to lead it.”
Dr. Lindy Crawford, Board Chair, The Taylor LEAD Foundation
The Foundation’s 2026 scholarship cycle awarded $17,000 to 14 Idaho student-athletes across 12 high schools. The Foundation’s iWIN Sports platform has already helped approximately 40 girls get in the game and continues to expand programming that helps girls get into a sport, stay in it, and lead beyond it.
“Being recognized at the iWIN Sports Gala helped Nations United to make more connections in the community. One of those connections resulted in a generous offer to donate new sports bras to our girls.”
Mary Karol Taylor, Founder, Nations United Soccer
There are multiple programs community members can benefit from: iWIN IX Grants helping fund a family’s athletic needs, Game On! Sports Camps 4 Girls a multisport camp getting girls in the game, The Changemakers Circuit running speaking engagements for organizations and teams, The iWIN Networking Collective building mentorship opportunities and The Coach Pathway creating leadership opportunities within sports.
Interview opportunities
Angela Taylor is available for interviews to talk about what this new position means for the Foundation as well as speak more to the growing programs and initiatives. Please reach out to Angela directly or Katie Yeatts to schedule.
